Before SimplePractice

Paperless intake forms have been a game-changer for my practice. My clients fill out all their paperwork on their own time, in their own homes, with no pressure. So when they come in, we’re reviewing—not starting fresh. This was a big issue for me before, and now it’s gone. 

 

 

Why SimplePractice

It’s important for me to remove barriers to care, especially for Black people, because there are already so many barriers in the way. So what that means for me is I need to figure out another way for people to access services that they can do on their own time, whenever they’re ready. SimplePractice helps with that. 

Not being able to physically talk to me isn’t a barrier for them to seek services. They’re able to reserve a time on my schedule, which I have to approve. If they’re brand new, I send them all their paperwork online. I just click off whichever ones are necessary for them, They fill it out online, and I have all the information I need before they even hit my couch. 

Things like paperless intakes or keeping a credit card on file for automatic billing means that all of our time together is actually spent focused on my client. They don’t feel like they’re wasting their money by sitting in my office filling out forms or discussing payment. My clients know their entire session is going to be about them, and that’s what’s important to me.
